Corinth Church is an inter-generational family in which individuals can learn and grow together. Within the family, however, there are groups of individuals with needs or areas of focus that we would like to address in a special way. We call these, “Focus Groups.” Corinth offers these ministries that are especially designed to connect members in similar stages in life.
SENIOR ADULTS
Our senior adults adopted the name, “Young At Heart,” for their group years ago. This group likes to have monthly meetings or outings to provide interesting programs, places to see and opportunities to enjoy fellowship. If you are interested in working with our team to help organize events for our senior adults, please contact Linda Thompson, 328-6196 ext.206 or e-mail Linda.
2012 SCHEDULE TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!
MIDDLE ADULTS
This group is currently "Under Construction" - please come back soon to see what we've got planned for this Focus Group of Corinth members!
SINGLE ADULTS
“Single Connections” is a group of single adults in the 30-50’s age range that enjoys sharing fellowship in monthly meetings. Single adults often feel lonely and disenfranchised from their couple friends. It means a lot to be able to meet with other Christian singles, to share their faith and struggles, to pray with and for each other, to laugh, “hang out,” and enjoy a fun game night or movie. If you are interested in sharing in the fellowship with this group, please contact Beth Hyman, 325-0263 or e-mail Beth.
NEW SCHEDULE TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!
YOUNG ADULTS (TNT’S – TWENTY AND THIRTY SOMETHINGS)
TNT’S is a young adult group that was started several years ago for young singles and married couples without children, although that latter description may change since a few of the couples have now had children. This group now meets as a Sunday School class with regular opportunities outside of class for fellowship and service. See the listings under the Sunday School classes for the current topic of study and location.
If you are interested in being a part of this dynamic group, please contact Wes and Tiffany Wightman, 256-2738 or e-mail the Wightmans.
SPECIAL NEEDS ADULTS
Our Special Needs Adults are part of the family. These wonderful members share their hugs and loving care with each other and the whole church family. Their concern, compassion and accepting hearts are an inspiration to us all. Originally begun as a ministry to Special Needs children, the group has grown over the years into a close-knit group of adults. See Special Needs Children for more information on ministry to our children.
Ministry to our Special Needs Adults falls into two main categories:
The Class of Joy
This class meets on Sunday mornings during Sunday School at 9:45 – 10:45 am in the Educational Building. Their classroom meets in the first classroom on the left as you enter the building. The biblically–based curriculum used for this class is Access (For Adults with Special Learning Needs) by LifeWay Christian Resources.

Fellowship Activities
Throughout the year, the group goes out for breakfast or lunch, celebrates birthdays and Christmas, goes to ballgames, bowling and is treated to “Special Days” camp at Blowing Rock Conference Center each June.
