WHY DO WE NEED A SUNDAY SCHOOL MINISTRY?
It’s a perfect opportunity to provide classes for every age group in our church on Sunday mornings when people are already coming here for worship services in order to:
- Help our members grow in their knowledge of God and His Word through practical and relevant studies.
- Give opportunity for deeper fellowship and relationship building.
- Serve as an outreach ministry to bring others to faith in Jesus Christ.

THREE GROUP DIMENSIONS
DIMENSION 1(D – 1) - DISCOVERY GROUPS
Discovery Groups are designed to provide opportunities for Christian fellowship, making friends, fun, food, sharing and prayer. These groups would help new members get to know each other as well as offering a great place to invite your non-Christian friends. Focus on the bond we share in Jesus Christ that seasons our conversations with encouragement and positive fun.
Discovery Groups include:
FELLOWSHIP GROUPS
Meet regularly as desired and may include a meal or snacks, games, sharing, devotionals, prayer, outings or special events.
FOCUS GROUPS
Singles – made up of 30-50+ age singles for fellowship and fun.
Seniors – made up of those 65+ for fellowship and activities.

DIMENSION 2(D – 2) - DISCUSSION GROUPS
Studying God's Word is the focus of the Discussion Groups. Interact, discuss and apply the Bible to everyday life with the added personal dimension of sharing and praying together. Groups are offered in both home and class settings. Sunday School classes have an open-ended commitment, while Bible studies and special series have a variety of study lengths.

DIMENSION 3(D – 3) - DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS
While Discipleship Groups might offer some of the same criteria that the other groups offer, D-3 groups go to a more intensive dimension. With Jesus as our model, discipleship groups include in-depth Bible study, accountability, mentoring with lifestyle impact, sharing our faith and more comprehensive prayer times. In order to accomplish the depth desired in these groups, we suggest a 1 or 2-year commitment for 8-12 members.
Discipleship groups promote spiritual growth within the context of a "small community" usually meeting in the homes of the members.
New D-3 groups begin as leadership is trained and you let us know of your interest in being a part of these vital groups.
